Blood rune detail

Blood runes are the second highest level runes, behind Soul runes. They are used in the highest level spells, the lowest of which being Ruby Crossbow Bolt Enchant, and the highest being Ice Barrage.

Blood runes can be made with the Runecrafting skill at 77 Runecrafting with dark essence fragments, and gain 23.8 experience per dark essence fragment. It is possible to reach approximately 38,000 experience per hour.

Note: Using full Graceful outfit and having 80+ Agility should be enough to have enough run energy to last the whole trip, depending on how often the player has to switch between the essence mines.

Blood runes can be obtained in various ways, including:

  • Purchase from various Rune shops, including:
  • Found in the Barrows Chest with at least 75.6%[1] rewards potential
  • Thieving from the Chaos Druid Tower chest (requires level 59 Thieving)
  • As drops from various monsters
  • Spawns in level 36 wilderness in the middle of the venomous spiders
  • Spawn in level 45 wilderness on the east side of the Demonic Ruins.

Since Zeah's release players can now Runecraft Blood runes at 77.
