Dragon boots are boots made of dragon metal. Like most other dragon items they cannot be made using the Smithing skill. The boots require a Defence level of 60 to wear.
They can be obtained as a drop from Spiritual mages (found in the God Wars Dungeon), which require a Slayer level of 83 to kill.
Dragon boots are commonly used due to their strength bonus and relatively low cost. Thus, they are popular with those training the Slayer skill and player killing. However, their defensive bonuses are somewhat mediocre when compared with higher level boots.
With level 60 in Runecrafting and Magic, dragon boots can be combined with a primordial crystal to create a pair of primordial boots, which have increased stats and remain tradeable. The process cannot be reversed.
