|A Penance Fighter torso armour.|
The Fighter torso, or Penance torso, is a piece of armour that requires 40 Defence to wear and is rewarded from the Barbarian Assault minigame. Fighter torsos can be purchased from Commander Connad in exchange for 375 honour points in all four roles and having killed the Penance Queen. You can use the Fighter torso on Commander Connad to sell it back for 300 honour points in all four roles.
Important: Although the Fighter Torso is obtainable at any level, The average player that attempts to obtain one is mid-high level (Dragon Armor and Dragon Equipment) if you are wearing lower leveled equipment, the likelihood of you finding a random group will be significantly lower than average.
Compared to a rune platebody, the Fighter torso has generally inferior defence bonuses and a greater magic penalty, but it is tied with the Bandos chestplate for having the highest strength bonus (+4) for the body slot, making it a popular equipment choice. It also weighs significantly less than most armour, making it practical for travel.
If the player dies below level 20 Wilderness, it will remain in the player's inventory. However, the item will be unusable and must be repaired with 50,000 coins by using the item on Perdu or an Armour stand in a pvp world.
