Pheasants are birds that are featured in the Freaky Forester random event. The player must kill the pheasant with the right number of tail feathers as instructed to gain the reward from the event AND to be teleported back to the spot that they were previously at. Upon failure to deliver the correct raw pheasant not only will no reward be given, but the player will be teleported off to a random spot on the map rather than returned back to their origin.
Pheasants have 5 hitpoints and the first blow to them always hits for 5 damage, thereby killing the bird. Players receive no experience for slaying the pheasant but the drop is a raw pheasant which is given to the Freaky Forester to complete the event.

Some players find this random event to be extremely useful because of its near perfect splashing conditions. It isn't encouraged to wait hours on end to get the correct random event, but if one does get the freaky forester event, run quickly to a bank to get your gear and accept it.
