The Goblin Invasion event was a community run event that ran over a series of 5 weeks. The progression of this community quest was determined by voting in polls to decide who fights with the players and where as well as collecting items needed to defeat never before seen bosses. During 16 August - 20 September, 2013, players had access to a new goblin training area where they could kill a goblin lieutenant to get 3 new weapons: Cursed goblin staff, hammer, and bow. These weapons do extra damage to the goblins in this area and were needed to defeat the goblin high priest boss, Stagwort, the weekend after. Those that defeated him were awarded a Disk of returning.
To access this training area, players must talk to the scout in the Varrock Palace Courtyard.
