This article is about requests for help from general users. For requests for help needing administrator tools, see RuneScape:Administrator requests.

Welcome to the Old School RuneScape Wiki User Help page. This page is here to offer a central location for those who are participating with the development of this wiki to make general requests for help. For admin help, click here.

Note to users: Remove requests once they have been fully dealt with. Archive those that have a notable discussion.

Note for requesters - Once a solution has been presented and implemented, please add a comment signifying completion, if the request hasn't already been archived. This is to help other users know when to archive completed requests.

What this page is forEdit

  • Coding help. Requesting help with writing templates, making a nice user page, or any questions on writing wiki-code can be asked here and users will help to the best of their ability.
  • Requests for non-administrative actions. If help is required with an action (such as moving a page), asking users here for help with that action is acceptable.
  • Questions on how the wiki works. All the policies and processes in use on the Old School RuneScape Wiki may seem a little overwhelming at first. If you need help in understanding any of the policies, or more in depth instructions on a process, asking here is a good start.
  • Other questions to the users of the wiki. - While the Watercooler is often a better place, a simple question may be asked here for a quick response.
  • An all-in-one place to put things. Many of the Wiki's procedures are lesser-known, so putting a note here is a good way to do something if the correct procedure is not known.

What this page is not forEdit

  • Requests for actions involving administrator tools. Please use Admin requests for such requests.
  • Larger discussion with other users on policies or other wide-ranging actions. The Watercooler is a more suitable location to discuss larger changes to the Wiki's policies, procedures and high-use templates.
  • General chat (about Old School RuneScape or not). General chat about Old School RuneScape (or an off-topic subject) should be taken to individual user talk pages, or article talk pages when applicable.

Dragon Slayer 2 quest guide Edit

While following the guide on the wiki, I came across a sentence that wasn't specific enough. At the part of "Forging the pieces", the text says "Use fire spells on the three structures", but when using fire strike, fire bolt or fire blast, it'll say "you'll need a more powerful fire spell to light that." Only Fire Wave did the job for me, but I didn't have the permission to edit the guide unfortunately, so could someone else do it for me? Thanks!

Changed it for you. ~ HeirA_sig.png HeirApparently (talk) 21:28, January 4, 2018 (UTC)

Image resizing Edit

I updated the garden fence image but it stretches the info box. How do i shrink it so it doesn't stretch the info box on the page, but retains full size when you click on it?  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Slurpeeeeeee (talk) on 18:33, June 11, 2017.

Will take a look at it right now. BGUyLfN.png CJaW7Er.png 19:25, June 11, 2017 (UTC)

Wines of zamorak drops from KQ Edit

Hi. I've stumbled upon this tweet of Mod Ahs ( which mentions the exact droprate of wines of zamorak from the Kalphite Queen, 10/128. I'm sure people who visit this wikia are interested in this number, but I don't know how to really edit anything in this wikia while keeping the right formatting. So it would be nice if anyone could help me out on this one and edit it for me! :D

Thanks for letting us know, I've added the drop rate for the wine and also rolling the herb table as I noticed it was there too. — KnazO 11:26, July 24, 2017 (UTC)

Skeleton (Lair of Tarn Razorlor) Edit

This Wiki page MUST be created. I am not sure on the policy on this site for creating a new page, nor do I know how to, but it must be done. I would be willing to help in its creation (currently killing skeletons and taking a tally of drop rates). All the Skeletons within the Lair of Tarn Razorlor have vastly different drops then the regular skeletons found throughout Runescape. The level 40 and 63 Skeletons are unique in that they are the only monster (that I know of) in the game that drop the Bronze Platebody, as well as a 2 dose Agility Potion, and the level 87 Skeleton is unique in that it is the only monster to drop the Bronze Plateskirt. The level 40 Skeleton also drops the Adamant Kiteshield quite often, which would be a huge boon to Ironmen looking for an easy melee shield. Also, the Bronze Platebody pages says in the where to get section "They are sometimes dropped by skeletons " however, this is a lie because regular skeletons do not drop Bronze Platebodies; only the ones in Tarns Lair drop Bronze Platebodies. -Madoracle
