Two handed swords are powerful yet incredibly slow weapons. Their slow attack speed is made up for by the high damage they can deal in a single attack. The use of a rune 2h sword in player killing on Free-to-play worlds as a finishing weapon is common.
Two-handed swords offer slash and crush attack styles in which it provides high bonuses in compensation for its slow speed (speed of 3). Players should choose the primary slash against most opponents, and the secondary crush against opponents wearing plate armour, such as platebody and platelegs.
Note: All Godswords have an attack speed of 4, which is 1 tick (0.6s) faster than other two-handed swords.
Players can buy two-handed swords up to adamant in Gaius' Two Handed Shop in Taverley.
The Chaos Elemental drops the coveted dragon two-handed sword.
