Elemental rocks are rare and can only be mined during and after the Elemental Workshop I quest. The rocks are located in the western room of the Elemental workshop. If a player tries to mine an elemental rock, it will turn into an Earth elemental and attack you. Once the Earth elemental is defeated, he drops a single Elemental ore and a rock. The rock can be left on the floor because this item is useless. The Elemental ores can be smelted to Elemental metals. Elemental rocks are purple in colour.
Elemental ore which is gained from the rock is used for creating Elemental shields and helmets.
